This course contains about concept of discourse, discourse analysis, and critical discourse analysis. Discourse deals with oral and written text, discourse analysis deals with the analysis of language (cohesiveness and coherence) and analysis of context (context of situation and context of culture). Meanwhile, critical discourse analysis deals with power and historical process of texts to determine the true meaning of a discourse and text.
