This course embarks on literary studies particularly Poetry or the study of poems. The topics to be discussed cover five main headings namely Introduction to Poetry, Types of poetry, Elements of Poetry, Musical devices and figurative devices. Upon the completion of these topic areas, the assessments will be about analyzing a selection of poems written by different poets, creating students' own poems and outlining research plan for poetry.
